Our History.

Formerly known as the Teeoda.

Established in 1960, Cypress View Foundation has a rich history of serving the seniors of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Over the years, we have expanded and renovated our facilities to meet the evolving needs of our residents.

1960

Official Opening

In 1960, the first U-shaped lodge was built on this five-acre site. This unique design allowed residents to enjoy scenic views and access a beautifully landscaped central courtyard. The original building featured a kitchen, dining room, library, and matron’s suite. Cypress View Foundation, a non-profit seniors housing facility, was established to serve low to moderate income seniors aged 65 and older.

Wild Rose Lodge

The Wild Rose Lodge officially opened on December 16, 1970, introducing a new housing concept aimed at providing a more pleasant environment with a less institutional feel.
