Mission Statement
"The Cypress View Foundation provides affordable senior housing to those
in greatest need and corresponding quality services in an efficient,
effective, and caring manner."
Commonly referred to as "The Teeoda", we are a non-profit organization,
situated in Medicine Hat, Alberta, that exists primarily to provide
supportive social housing for low to moderate-income seniors. It also
provides some housing to a few individuals less than 65 years of age
who are unable to manage independently on their own. The Cypress View
Foundation provides housing to persons who, because of financial, social
or other circumstances, require assistance to obtain housing.
Types Of Housing
The Cypress View Foundation operates two distinct types of housing: lodge
accommodation and self-contained apartments. Each is funded separately
and in a different manner.
Lodge Accommodations
The lodge accommodation allows seniors the opportunity to maintain
independence without requiring nursing or home care. This includes
activities, meals, cleaning, and laundry services. We attempt to provide
a home-like atmosphere.
Lodge Accommodations are located in the Cypress View Wing, Wild Rose Wing,
and the 1st and 2nd floors of the Teeoda Wing.
Self-Contained Apartments
The self-contained apartments are primarily social housing for seniors
who are still able to maintain an independent lifestyle. The Cypress
View Foundation provides optional meal and cleaning services for seniors
living in the apartments.
The Self-Contained Apartments are located on the 3rd through 6th floors
of the Teeoda Wing.
